Product Introduction

Using Easypaisa Money Transfer, you can now send and receive money to and from family and friends from any Easypaisa shop in the most efficient, secure and convenient way. Any person in Pakistan can use this product even if they don’t own a Telenor connection.
Any person with a need to send money from one city to another can use this service from any Easypaisa shop across Pakistan. Customers without a bank account can also send their monthly salaries home to their families from cities to villages. Similarly, parents can send funds to their children at educational institutions in other cities for tuition fee, or monthly pocket money. It’s also for people who travel frequently and don't want to carry cash can use this service as Travelers Cheque by sending money to themselves from one city and collecting the money in another city.

An Easy and Simple Process

To Send Money: The Sender needs to bring and provide the following for a Money Transfer:

  • Their original and valid Nadra CNIC number (Mandatory)
  • Receiving person's valid Nadra CNIC Number (Mandatory)
  • Their own mobile phone number and the receiver's mobile phone number
  • During Money transfer transaction initiation, Easypaisa system will automatically generate a Passcode on sender’s mobile number. This pass-code should not be told to the Retailer or anyone except to the Receiver by the sender.
  • Similarly system will send Transaction ID to receiver’s mobile number.
  • Both the Sender and Receiver will receive confirmation SMS containing their respective information.

To Receive Money: The Receiver needs to bring and provide the following for a Money Transfer:

  • Their original & valid Nadra CNIC along with 1 Photocopy of the CNIC (Mandatory)
  • They must know the passcode (as communicated by sender) and Transaction ID.
  • Expired Nadra CNICs will not be accepted for the sending or receiving of Money Transfer transactions

To Receive Money at your Doorstep:

If you have been sent more than PKR 2,500 in a single transaction at your CNIC from easypaisa, then you do not need to visit an easypaisa retailer to receive these funds. There will be no additional charges deducted for requesting this service. The requested amount will reach your desired destination within one working day of placing the order. These funds can be sent to an address of your choice, provided that it is situated in following cities:

  1. Karachi* 
  2. Lahore
  3. Islamabad
  4. Rawalpindi
  5. Multan

*Selected coverage areas of Karachi include: KDA, Tariq Road, Nursery, PECHS, Defence, Clifton, Boat basin and Shah Faisal Colony.

Does a customer need to register to avail this service?

No, there is no requirement for the sender or the receiver to be registered

How Can I Receive Money Sent to my CNIC at Home?

If you have been sent PKR 2501 or more through an easypaisa transaction at your CNIC, then you can receive this money at your desired address. In order to avail this service, you are required to call out helpline at 3737 via Telenor and 111-345-100 via any other network’s SIM.
At the helpline you should request the agent to transfer money sent to you at your doorstep. Our helpline agents will verify and then request your desired location for receiving the money.

When will I receive Money at my Home after requesting it on Helpline?

Once you have requested this service, you will be able to receive this money at your desired address within one working day of placing the call.

How Much Does it Cost to Receive Money at My Home?

The doorstep delivery service whereby you can receive money sent via Easypaisa at your CNIC is free of charge. There are no additional charges for receiving funds at your doorstep.

Who can make a Money Transfer transaction? Is it for Telenor customers only?

Any person can make a Money Transfer transaction and send money to another person. The only requirement is that both sender and receiver should hold a valid NADRA CNIC and submit photocopies of their CNICs to Easypaisa merchants while doing a sending or receiving transaction. Expired CNICs will not be accepted.

Does a customer need to have a mobile phone to avail this service?

No, there is no mandatory requirement for the sender or the receiver to provide mobile phone number. The benefit of providing mobile phone number is that they will be able to receive the transaction information SMS messages. Secondly this will be helpful in logging complaints.

Who can make a Money Transfer transaction? Is it for Telenor customers only?

Any person can make a Money Transfer transaction and send money to another person. The only requirement is that both sender and receiver should hold a valid NADRA CNIC and submit photocopies of their CNICs to Easypaisa merchants while doing a sending or receiving transaction. Expired CNICs will not be accepted.

What if a customer has an expired CNIC or if the CNIC is lost?

The Customer needs to visit their nearest NADRA swift center and apply for a CNIC renewal if the CNIC is expired or a new CNIC if the customer has lost his CNIC. In both cases, NADRA will issue a renewal receipt which needs to be brought to the Easypaisa merchant along with a photocopy of the expired or lost CNIC and the merchant will then proceed with the sending or receiving transaction.
 
An expired CNIC can be considered valid for processing a transaction only if the customer is 65 years or above. In such a case a NADRA renewal letter is not required.

What if a customer is not in the procession of the original, valid CNIC but only has a photocopy of the valid CNIC?

The Customer needs to bring any original, valid photo identification (Passport or Driver’s License, armed forces ID, Employee card etc) along with a photocopy of his valid CNIC. The merchant will then proceed with the sending or receiving transaction.

Where can a customer send or receive a Money Transfer from?

For Money Transfer, a customer can approach any Telenor S&SC, Telenor Microfinance Bank branch, Telenor Franchise or any Easypaisa shop. Such shops can be identified by the original Certificate from the licensing Bank placed at the shop. Telenor will not be responsible for any service complaints from un-authorized merchants.

Will the customer get a receipt or any SMS notification after the transaction?

SMS notification will be sent to the sender and the receiver at the time money is sent or collected. This is only if both sender and receiver mobile phone numbers have been entered. Apart from the SMS notifications, the Easypaisa merchant will provide a stamped, signed transaction receipt to both sender and receiver with the sender and receivers CNICs and transaction details. The customers must not leave the Easypaisa shop without collecting the receipt for the Money Transfer.

Is there a time limit for customer to receive a Money Transfer transaction?

There is no time limit for claiming a Money Transfer. However, for customer security it is recommended to receive the transaction amount within 60 days of transaction initiation date. After expiry of 60 days the transaction will be blocked. Customer will be required to call 345 or 111-345-100 for further assistance. (As per Regulation all un-claimed amounts will be surrender to SBP after 10 years).

What should a customer do if he forgets his transaction pass-code?

The Customer needs to visit his nearest Telenor Sales & Service Center Franchise, Telenor Microfinance Bank (Formerly known as Tameer Microfinance Bank) Branch or Telenor Bank Sales and Service Center Franchises and take his original NADRA CNIC with him.

How many times a customer can reset pass code for a single transaction?

The pass-code will only be reset once for a transaction

What will be the process if a customer forgets the Transaction ID?

The Transaction ID is on the receipt that a merchant gives to the Sender after the transaction. The Customer must keep this receipt carefully for verification. Additionally, if the Customer has forgotten his Transaction ID, he may obtain it by calling the help line after verification and providing information.

What if the customer doesn't receive the confirmation message?

The customer should ensure that the phone numbers mentioned on the Money Transfer receipt are correct. He should then call the helpline and after verification, the call center agent will confirm the transaction status.

What if a customer comes to collect money sent through a Money Transfer and the Easypaisa shop does not have cash?

The customer should then contact a nearby Easypaisa shop with cash.

What is the process of Sending money to a CNIC from Easypaisa shop?

  • Customer brings original NADRA CNIC along with a copy of CNIC
  • Provides valid CNIC number of the recipient
  • Provides mobile phone number of both sender & receiver
  • Both sender and recipient receive a confirmation SMS.
  • Sender’s SMS has a System generated passcode which he should only share with the recipient
  • Recipient bring original NADRA CNIC along with a copy of CNIC
  • Recipient provides transaction ID received in confirmation SMS to Easypaisa retailer
  • Enters confidential pass code communicated by sender
  • Upon successful transaction, confirmation SMS will be sent to sender & recipient

Please note that the provided Mobile numbers and CNIC numbers of Senders & receivers used in one Money transfer transaction will be paired with each other for future.

Does this pairing(CNIC +MSISDN) imply for sender only?

No, this pairing implies on Sender’s (CNIC+MSISDN) and receivers (CNIS +MSISDN) as well.

Can a CNIC be paired with multiple MSISDNs?

Yes

If a CNIC is already paired with a Mobile number, can any other CNIC get paired with that mobile number?

No, as per regulation policy it is not allowed for any other CNIC to get paired with a mobile number which is already tagged with some other CNIC previously ; unless sender requests on helpline for any change.

How to remove a Mobile number which is mistakenly paired with a CNIC?

If a MSISDN is mistakenly paired with a wrong CNIC then Sender can only make request on Call center and after verification customer’s request will be processed.

Will the sender has to set the secret passcode during money transfer transaction?

No, From 1st January2017, as per the regulation of State bank of Pakistan while performing the Money transfer transaction, system will generate an Auto Passcode on sender’s mobile number and a transaction ID on receiver’s mobile number.

Who will receive the system generated passcode?

Sender will receive the system generated Passcode on his provided Mobile Number

Who will receive the Transaction ID?

Receiver will receive the Transaction ID on his provided Mobile Number by sender.

Who can request for Passcode reset request?

Sender and retailer can request for Passcode reset.
