About Easypaisa

With the goal of financial inclusion for the millions of unbanked people residing in the country, Telenor Pakistan in collaboration with Tameer Microfinance Bank launched Easypaisa in 2009 with the approval of the State Bank of Pakistan.

Easypaisa introduced a unique way of transferring money from one person to another instantly, in a safe, secure and convenient manner, made available to the unbanked masses of Pakistan for the first time.

Prior to Easypaisa, customers had to travel long distances, manage lots of paperwork, stand in long queues for hours, and were limited to specific working hours. Performing financial transactions through Easypaisa only takes a few seconds and ends with a confirmation SMS.

Now anyone can use Easypaisa services either through over-the-counter transactions by visiting their nearest Easypaisa outlet or through their mobile phones using mobile accounts. Easypaisa’s constant innovation empowers customers to address their financial needs easily through the many services offered including: bill payment, sending or receiving money, purchasing airtime, salary disbursements, giving donations, disbursing social cash transfers, insurance and savings. We have continued to expand our product portfolio with unprecedented services like Inter-Bank Funds Transfer, online payments, handset lending and health insurance.
